GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Reporting to the Director, Supply Chain, the Manager – Supply Chain will plan, implement and monitor the overall supply chain strategy, leveraging the team of Supply Chain Specialists and Analysts. The Manager  – Supply Chain is responsible for driving continuous improvement with both internal and external stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Undergraduate degree or College diploma; specialization in supply chain is an asset

7-10 years of experience in supply chain, inventory management, procurement and/or purchasing

7-10 years of experience working with a corporate ERP system

Motivated, self-starter with the ability to work well within a collaborative team environment

Strong knowledge and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) and MS Visio

Experience in Automotive or other Manufacturing environments an asset

Ability to freely express thoughts, bring forth ideas and contribute to the growth of the company

Demonstrated success at using supply chain experience to drive business change

Demonstrated capability to build relationships and work effectively across all business functional areas

Adaptive personality that works well in a dynamic and evolving environment

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Manage a team of Specialists and Analysts to ensure department objectives are achieved
    • Assist with planning and implementation of Supply Chain strategy
    • Co-ordinate with the Team Lead – Supply Chain on all new project/programs
    • Co-ordinate with Specialists to ensure product/customer launches are executed as per objectives
    • Implement inventory reduction strategies through the use of re-sourcing and vendor negotiations (MOQ, lead time, EOQ, etc).
    • Identify procedural and system limitations and the solutions required to overcome them
    • Identify KPI’s and the associated tools to manage Supply Chain staff, in order to improve Supply Chain performance
    • Work with Finance to monitor and manage budgets
    • Identify potential issues with inventory availability; prioritize, develop, and execute corrective action plan
    • Achieve budgeted inventory levels using system tools to analyze inventory requirements
    • Work closely with several cross-functional teams to ensure customer needs are being met including operations, engineering, packaging, finance and inbound logistics
    • Work successfully in a high volume, SKU intense environment
    • Partner with vendors to ensure compliance and smooth product flow
    • Execution of improvement plans with internal and external stakeholders
    • Identify and take on process improvement initiatives
    • Challenge internal processes to improve overall service levels
    • Maintain and nurture relationships to elevate the business to the next level
